(一)、首先从就业前景分析,从事英语专业的我们有以下几种就业方式:

①教师:如果你就是一个一般本科毕业、那么就去自己的城市的小学中学当个英语教师、如果继续考研读博,那么可以留在高校当老师。据学姐说现在大学已经严重贬值、英语专业更是下坡路、我们这边现在很多初中都要求华师本部以上学历。(我的家乡还只是3线城市,现实真的很残酷、除非你有很硬的关系)

②外贸:外贸几乎是所有英语专业学生都会提及的职业、要说完全和英语专业对口,其实也没那么恰当。先不说这个职业的前景,但你自己必须考虑到这个职业一般要去大城市和沿海、要远离家乡。很多人把做外贸当跳板,做几年后然后自己发展,也有做到中途放弃的、怎么说了、做外贸没有做教师稳定,谋事在

③翻译:说到翻译、英语专业的孩纸一定不会陌生、但是殊不知翻译真的是一条漫长而艰巨的旅途、不要以为过了专八,过了高口就可以很好的胜任。一切都是浮云、翻译要求的精准性与时效性不言而喻、不是说随便把一段话自己翻译的认为不错就可以了、作为一个专业的翻译,对于个人各方面的素养以及文化底蕴要求是很高的。翻译这门艺术真的是高不可测、不过如果你只想去一下什么小作坊之类的公司翻翻字典就可以翻译的职位。那就没什么好说的了。如果有能力、有对英语学习浓厚的兴趣、那么同传就是非常值得一试的职位。不过其中的幸苦我就不多说了。作为一个英专毕业的应届生、总的来说,我对前途是迷茫的、不过我的这种迷茫也是建立在因为荒废了大学四年的光景。所谓职业没贵贱,其实专业也是一样、只要你全身心的投入去学习、把英语学好学精、其实不愁没有工作的。现在确实学英语的人满街都是、但是真正能上得了台面的少之又少。中国十几亿人口、同传的人数几乎成了绝种动物!

(二)、商务英语专业的培养目标:本专业培养高等职业教育层次,德、智、体美全面发展,具有诚信、敬业的良好职业素质,具备一定专业理论知识和熟练的职业技能,熟悉国家各种商务法律法规,熟悉应用英语运用及计算机的实际操作,从事对外贸易、涉外商务、会计、金融、投资、保险及相关法律行业工作的高等应用型复合专业人才。

(三)、主干课程:综合英语、英语泛读、英语听力、英语口语、英语交际、商务英语、商务英语交际、翻译实践、口译实践、商务英语文函、商务英语文章选读、基础会计、金融基础与国际金融、国际贸易实务、电子商务基础、计算机应用基础和剑桥商务英语等专业课程。

三、社会调查的经验体会:

(一)、现在,英语已经成为一种工具,越来越多的人能够自如地应用,社会对英语专业人才的需求就大大减少。但家长和学生对于英语专业的热情和投入一直居高不下,过渡关注的结果,导致市场需求的饱和,大批只掌握了英语专业技能的求职者不得不陷入求职无门的窘境。同时,用人单位对求职者的学历层次要求越来越高。若在大中城市的高等单位就业,均要求毕业生具有硕士、博士学位,且大多需求优秀博士毕业生。而且,用人单位还多要求求职者的相关工作经验丰富,这一点又使应届本科毕业生处于绝对劣势的状态。根据高等学校外语专业教学指导委员会所作的调查显示,传统英语专业人才培养计划所培养的学生,由于只具备单一的英语技能,目前,已经不能满足用人单位的需要,人才市场对单一类型的英语毕业生的需求日渐减少。因此,英语专业人才培养必须转向复合型人才培养模式,只有这样才能满足国家建设和社会发展的需求。另外,随着我国对外开放力度的不断加大,英语学习早已从单纯的语言交流走向多元化,对既熟悉国际商务又熟练掌握英语的高级复合型人才的需求越来越大。

二、商务英语翻译的特点

商务英语翻译是为商务活动服务的,具有完整、简洁、具体、准确、清晰等特点。因此,在商务翻译中应当认真遵循这一原则,充分表达出原文的精神实质。

这里的“完整”是力求内容的完整。例如,在订货时,需要写出所需商品、何时需要、收货人和收货地点及付款方式等。“简洁”是指商务活动讲求的是时间和效率,因此简单地表达内容和适当地把握分寸非常重要。商务英语的这一特点与这些年来在英美等国出现的英语简化趋势有直接联系。此外,“具体”是指商务文书应该力求具体、明确,避免含糊、空泛、抽象。如在报盘、换盘、理赔时,需要使用具体的事实和数据。“正确”是指商务文书内容(如数据),必须以准确的语言和套语加以表达。“清晰”是指文书主题突出、层次分明。其内容应该明白易懂,不能存在模棱两可、含糊不清的现象。

商务英语涉及国际经济活动中的方方面面,词义有着很强的专业性。在国际贸易、国际金融等各类经济专业中的商务专业词汇相当多,因此正确理解这些专业词汇非常重要。例如“Libor”一词,是国际金融专业词汇,是国际金融市场上制定国际金融贷款利率的基础标准,其含义是“伦敦同行间同业投放利率”(LondoninterBankofferedRate)。随着国际金融市场的发展,这一词汇的运用,逐渐演变成采用其缩略语的方式,普通词典中没有这个缩略语的形式。有的专业词汇,虽然在普通词典中能找到,也很难解释其在商务英语中的特定含义。如“nayorigin”这样的词汇,一般词典解释为:“nay”一般用于开会表决时的否定用语;“origin”是发源地,起源的意思。而在国际贸易中应解释为“未说明产地”。

3.注意典型套语

商务英语非常注重实际的交际功能。在商务活动中,客户之间的意图越明朗,交流就越顺利。在长期的国际商务交流中,形成了许多言简意赅而又很实用的商务专业典型套语。尤其是在进出口函电英语中,就有许多这种典型例句。例如,关于“支付”的套语有:“ourusualtermsofpaymentarebyconfirmedirrevocableL/Gavailableatsight.”而普通英语很难用如此简洁的语句表达出来。

4.防止漏译

由于商务合同翻译涉及到当事者双方的利益,有时一字之差就可能造成无法挽救的大错。因此,译者应具备高度的责任感,一丝不苟的工作态度,防止漏译。例如:某工程项目在订购“水轮机自动控制仪表”时,被译为controlinstrumentsforautomaticcontrolledhydro-turbine,实际上这个“控制仪表”分自动型或非自动型,应译为auto-controllinginstrumentofhydro-turbine才能配套。这里的“auto”一字如果不能及时发现漏译,购回的设备不配套,就会造成重大经济损失。

5.认真审校

为了保证翻译质量,审校译文是从事翻译工作必不可少的一步。译文是否忠实原文,是否通顺、流畅,语言是否规范,是否有误译、漏译等问题,都应引起高度重视。具体审校方法可采用译者自己校改后,请别人校阅。用这种互相校改的方法,可确保整个译文连贯、术语统一,使译文达到或接近翻译标准。

总之,经济的发展使我们与国外各方面的交流越来越多,贸易活动不断增加,翻译的比重也随之加大。要做好商务英语翻译工作,就要根据商务英语的特点及其规律,学习商务英语方面相关知识,使翻译万无一失。
