一、教学目标与要求
通过本单元教学，使学生初步掌握一般将来时态的构成和用法：熟悉这个时态的陈述句式和疑问句式的构成，能口头和书面表达将要发生的事情。能独立完成练习册有关一般将来时态各种形式的练习，正确率不低于70％。继续学习和运用所学语言谈论过去、现在的天气情况，并能运用一般将来时态谈论未来的天气变化。
二、教学重点与难点

教师可通过提问复习有关天气情况的用语：

2．教师事先自己录制一段有关本地区的天气情况报告。鉴于目前广播、电视节目中的英文天气预报还不大适用于初二年级英语教学，所以教师可参考以下短文，自己录制：

介绍report一词。然后对刚才的内容提一、两个简短问题。涉及到“tomorrow”的天气情况时，将will/willnot的结构介绍给学生。
打开书，借助图片或插图教radio等词。
3．组织学生阅读第1部分。两分钟后，教师向学生提问：

放录音两遍，引导学生回答黑板上的问题。再放录音，学生打开书，跟读两遍。教师讲解本课难句（见难点讲解）。

四、难点讲解
theradiosaysthesnowwillstoplaterintheday.广播说晚些时候这场雪会停下来。
这是一个宾语从句。本课第1部分中的替换部分也都是宾语从句。由于行文的需要（实际是交际的需要），早在第一册第二十一课中就有了宾语从句。但这项语法内容在第三册第十单元起才陆续总结。教师可根据自己所教学生实际情况去处理。一般讲，只要不影响学生理解，可以不去专门介绍这部分语法。学生接触多了以后，扼要解释一下，有助于学生归纳、小结。

5．挂出中国地图，教授余下表示方向的生词。反复领读，直到学生初步掌握为止。
6．指导学生做练习册其他习题。
7．布置作业
1）练习朗读本课对话；2）抄写生词；笔头回答练习册习题1的问题；3）完成练习册其他习题。
四、难点讲解
1．YouwanttogetyourtVsetback,don'tyou?你想把电视机取走，对吗？
这是一个反意疑问句。关于其构成请参阅本书第六十二课难点讲解1。
2．Don'tsaythatbeforeyoulookatthepicture.看图像之前先别这样说。
Don'tsaythat是一个祈使句的否定形式。祈使句的肯定式前Don't即构成否定式（请参阅本书第三课难点讲解1）。
beforeyoulookatthepicture是个状语从句，由连词before引导。它在复合句中说明主句动作发生的时间，起状语作用。

四、难点讲解
1．mostofnorthandSouthChinawillhaveacoldwetday.中国北部和南部的绝大部分地区将要有一个寒冷的阴雨天。
north/SouthChina，华北/华南
mostof，绝大部分，绝大多数。例如：
mostofthestudentsinourclasslikeenglish.我们班绝大多数同学喜欢英语。
2．therewillbeastrongwindtothenorthoftheHuaiRiver.淮河以北将有大风天气。
there＋be结构的将来时态是：therewillbe。
tothenorthoftheHuaiRiver在淮河以北。试比较：

3．inthenorthwest,therewillbesnowinthenight.在西北部，夜间将有雪。
atnight和inthenight：
atnight是“在夜间”。一般有两个概念：一是，“整个夜间”；一是，“午夜以前”。请看下面例句：
1）Keepalightonatnight.夜里让灯一直亮着。
2）Hecamehomefromworkatnight.他夜里下班回家。
inthenight是指“在夜里的某个时间”。例如：
iworkeuptwiceinthenight.夜里我醒了两次。

1）小结一般将来时态在本单元的用法；2）复习有关谈论天气的用语。

1．复习值日生报告。
2．教师事先从广播或电视上录制一段英语的天气预报，录音放三遍，学生边听边做练习册75页的习题3，当堂核对答案。
3．组织学生两人一组，练习课文中第1部分对话。交替使用课本提供的替换词。练习前，要确信学生真正明白如何选词填空。可请两位程度稍好的同学做出示范：

四、难点讲解
一般将来时态
一般将来时表示将要发生的动作或状态。由“助动词will+动词原形”构成，常与表示将来的时间状语连用，如tomorrow,nextweek等。其否定式的构成是“助动词will+not”；在疑问式中，将助动词will提到句首。主语是第一人称（i或we）时，常用助动词shall。但在日常口语中，所有人称都可以用will。
表示将要发生的事，或计划、打算做某事，可用“tobegoingto+动词原形”结构。
